I got this as a replacement for an older Panasonic telephone which I wasquite happy with - this new phone is really great - just what I wanted -2 phones with one phone connection plus answering machine.
Got this phone to supplement existing panasonic phone (excessive talking). The talking caller-id is especially helpful to filter out tele-marketers during dinner time. The handset speaker volume is moderate only at the highest setting.
Works as advertised. Delivered on time and in perfect condition, even though the box had been previously opened (as indicated by Amazon when I purchased it).
There is also a wide variety of ringtones you can choose from. Some things that might improve this product is the speaker phone; it could be a bit louder, but at that volume, it is also pretty clear. I personally don't use caller ID or talking caller ID (which is one of the features on this phone) so I can't really say much about it, but you can find out for yourself. These are pretty nice, considering they are 5.8 GHz so they don't interfere with your wireless, and that they have nice voice quality and very nice features. The answering machine cannot be heard when someone listens to it, so you don't know if they hung up, if you didn't pick up. There is voice enhancement, which works well I suppose, and slow talk for people who have slow hearing. The phonebook is easy to use and convenient if you have many contacts, and you can send them from one set to another so you don't have to customize everything. The number pads would be nice if they had back-light for dark clarity. In all, its a great phone, hope you like it.
Overall, the phone is great. Something to keep in mind if you like to keep track of your messages. We purchased this phone because our old phone was only 2.8 GHz and it was interfering with our wireless internet. Two things that I do not like about this phone is that the key pad does not light up, so if you are in minimal light, you may not be able to see the numbers you are pushing. Helpful when you are playing with your kids in the other room and you don't necessarily want to run for every call. We have always purchased Panasonic phones and they last. I loved the old phone we had because it would tell how many messages we had, whether old or new.
I was able to feed my daughter her bottle and still hold the phone with my shoulder. The old phone would knock us off of the internet. I love that it is lightweight and easy to use. I would have kept our old phone if it had not been for the internet. The second is that the phone will not display how many messages you have or whether you have old messages saved. Also like the talking feature. The Caller ID feature is very nice.
